With
a motto "We Build," the Tri-City Industry Kiwanis
Club (noon version) daily follows that principal. In the process,
members find many ways to serve the community while making new
friends and having fun. The TCI Kiwanis was formed in 1981 and is
one of clubs in Division 54 of the
Pacific Northwest
District.
Kiwanis
is open to all and the process of becoming a member is as simple
as having a current member as a sponsor, followed by approval by
the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors. Our
Membership Chair provides prospective members with a brief
background about Kiwanis.
Benefits
include good food and good programs Friday of each week at noon at Red Lion
Richland. Meetings begin at noon and are over at approximately
1:00
p.m. The last half-hour of the meeting is generally our program,
and they are informative, exciting and entertaining.
The
second Monday of each month is the board meeting and these meetings
are open to all members.
Some
of the highlights of membership each year is participation in City
of Richland - Fun Day Parade, Family - a- Fair, Cocoa and Santa,
SHAKE, Salmon Bake, and many more.
Members are expected to do is attend club meetings
and to be willing to
serve the community and support the objectives of Kiwanis. As in
most organizations, we are expected to meet our financial
obligations to the club, make a commitment of time for our projects and to
serve on committees. |
